Editorial Policy

Last updated

Readers are often making a health and money decision under stress. This policy explains how we research and update guides, and what we do when we get something wrong.

Who we write for

Family caregivers, spouses, older adults planning ahead, and the professionals who help them. We write in plain language, put the direct answer first, and define medical or insurance terms when we use them.

How we research

Hands-on experience

When a page is based on published specifications rather than hands-on evaluation, we say so on the page. We never describe testing, measurements, or photos we didn’t take. Our evaluation method explains how we compare beds.

Independence

Health and safety information

Content that touches health or safety is educational only. It is not a substitute for advice from a licensed clinician. See our medical review policy and medical disclaimer.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools to help with research, organizing notes, and first drafts. Every fact on a published page is checked against its cited source before publication. AI tools are never used to invent experiences, reviews, quotes, or test results.

Updates

Corrections

If you find an error, please contact us. We review every report. When we fix a factual error, we update the page and, for significant corrections, add a short note at the bottom of the page explaining what changed and when.
